Anchor City Rollers

You don't need any prior experience or skills to join our league. If you want to play roller derby, or be a referee, or just give this wild sport a try, register for one of our 12-week Learn To Skate programs to get started. 

Junior Roller Derby welcomes skaters 8 to 17 years old. A 12-week Learn To Skate program tailored to junior skaters is a modified low-contact version of modern flat track roller derby, emphasizing skills and strategy in a safe version of gameplay.

Referees and officials are essential to making our league work! We welcome new officials on and off skates. Anyone interested in refereeing is welcome in our Learn To Skate program, where they will receive training on gameplay and rules.

Are you traveling to Halifax from another league? We welcome guest skaters at our practices! Follow our guidelines on our visiting skaters page.  

There are many ways to promote your business or organization while supporting our league. Your support will help to fund practice and bout space, skill development camps, our travel teams, uniforms, equipment, advertising, and help to ensure sustainability for years to come.

Roller derby bouts and tournaments only happen with the help of wonderful volunteers. We have many people off skates who help us sell merchandise and tickets, fundraise for our community partners, and setup and take down events.
